Freshmen Chen Si’an and Lin Yizhen, fresh graduates of the International Bachelor’s Degree Program in Finance from the University, participated in the 2019 Ninth Diploma Wealth Management Contest held by the “Taiwan Wealth Management Planning Consultants Certification Association” during their senior year to Fubon Securities internship. The team that finished in the finals stood out and won the first place.
The “An Yi cross” team composed of Chen Si’an and Lin Yizheng students, led by Fu Yi Securities Banqiao Branch Director Ye Huifen senior associate and our school’s financial and economics professor Professor Pan Maojing, after three months of simulation training, went through the preliminary rounds, finals and The results of the planning report were published and finally, in the fierce competition, they won the championship with excellent results, the solid education of the Display University’s financial and academic programs, and the professional and excellent training system results of Fubon Securities Wealth Management.
Professor Hong Renjie, the director of Xi Caijin’s academic program, said that the industry-academia cooperation with Fubon Securities is a three-year talent training process. It is also a close combination of schools and enterprises to create a new win-win cooperation model. The first is that the Pingda University International Finance Program visited Fubon Securities Kaohsiung Branch in September 2016 and Fubon Securities Taipei Headquarters in January 2018 to expose students to the professional knowledge of the securities field and get in touch with the workplace earlier. After that, two students, Chen Si’an and Lin Yikun, were arranged to conduct summer internships at Fubonzheng Headquarters from July to August 2018 and full-term internships at Banqiao Branch from February to June 2019. The two students used the Fubon Certificate and Pingke University’s long-term industry-academia cooperation to develop a strong interest in securities work. Encouraged by company executives and school teachers, they participated in the ninth national college wealth management competition and won the championship.
